Grand Master Ash
Grandmaster Ash a Birmingham based drummer/percussionist took Coventry by storm in the Summer of 2008. Since then he has been booked religiously on the second and last Saturday of the month and for every daytime party at the Cottage.
Ash’s CV currently holds an impressive list of experiences which all add up to making him the experienced professional musician he is today. Percussion set up includes : 3 Congas, Bongos, Timbale, Cowbells, Bass drum, Snare, Cymbals, Chimes, Shakers, plus optional electronics, triggering devices and mics. Ash also plays Trumpet and Flugelhorn as well as percussion on club shows. Ash’s musical background has been quite diverse and varied ,including Latin percussion, Trumpet and Flugelhorn he also plays drum kit, Guitar, and Bass, all to a professional standard and has recorded and sessioned Live and in the studio playing all of the above instruments. Ash is certainly not a jack of all trades, even though he is skilled in these areas and can work as a multi instrumentalist , Ash considers himself to be a drummer, and this is where his specialist skills knowledge and passion lie, in the art of drumming, all be it educating or performing
